Preliminary Data Collection
In Module 3.2, you learned about tools for gathering data from Twitter and YouTube. Keeping your research question in mind, pick at least one tool and start diving into data collection. If you are new to data scraping, we recommend you choose either TAGs or the YouTube data collection tool. Feel free to try out Advanced Twitter data collection if you feel like you’re ready for a more complicated data collection method.
As you begin data collection, take at least two (2) screenshots of your data collection process. You will embed these in a word document along with a one-paragraph explanation of:
- What tool you chose to explore and why
- What difficulties you encountered throughout the data collection process
- What questions you have about data collection moving forward (at least two questions)
- Why you chose the specific screenshots you’ve included
Submit this assignment as a word document or a pdf for credit.
